Poppy Seeds - Pack Some Poppy Punch

The use of Poppy seeds dates back to the Red Indian Era where it was used as a medicine to relieve pain, insomnia, as a sedative and by women to enhance their looks. Poppy seeds are rich source of B-complex, thiamine which is essential to general well-being, aids mental alertness, has a feel-good factor, aids effective digestion of food along with aversion from cardiac ailments.

Those who suffer from skin reactions and have sensitive skin can try this great mix that helps soothe irritant skin. Make a fine blend of a tablespoonful of poppy seeds with enough water to make a slurry consistency. A squeeze of lime, about a teaspoonful is to be added to this mix and cover the affected area and leave for 15-20 minutes, bound to be very effective.

Those who suffer from vertigo will experience significant relief if the below stated mixture is consumed on a daily basis. Soak about eight numbers of almonds and pumpkin seed core, a teaspoonful of poppy seeds and two-three tablespoons of wheat for 8-10 hours. Grind the above ingredients to a pureed consistency after de-skinning the almonds. Now in a pan, take a tablespoon of clarified butter and add 2 grinded cloves and pour the pureed mix into the pan. Now add some milk and sugar to taste and bring to a bubble. Cool and consume on regular basis for best results.

Those who face severe flaking of the scalp, dandruff, which if not treated leads to hair-loss, can try the mixture of soaked poppy seeds, hung curd and a teaspoon of crushed white pepper on the scalp and leave for half an hour and rinse it off properly. Regular use will help reduce recurrence of dandruff.

An effectual hair pack that is known to trigger growth in the hair follicles is firstly make a blend of freshly extracted coconut milk, soaked poppy seeds and pulped onion and apply to the scalp and leave it on for about an hour. Rinse it off with good quality shampoo.

Soaked poppy seeds and milk just enough to make a thick paste when applied on the face and leave to dry and wash off with cold water to help relieve skin dryness. The poppy seeds can be replaced with peanuts about two tablespoons and add a dash of honey for smooth and supple skin.

For overall improvement in skin texture, try the blend of de-skinned soaked almond and poppy seeds with neem leaves and sandalwood powder with milk. This blend is to be gently rubbed on the face in round movements for 15-20 minutes and then rinse off with tepid water.

All the innate methods suggested herewith are to be followed with basic common sense, taking into consideration individual reaction to particular ingredients and if needed taking professional assistance, before following any of the above said procedures.
