Natural Moisturizers for Pimple Prone Skin

Finding out the right moisturizer for pimple prone skin is extremely difficult. Most moisturizers available in the market contain too much oily substances, which end up making our skin more oily aggravating the pimples in the process. So, for people with pimple prone skin the best option is used moisturizers made using natural ingredients. Below we have discussed about some of the most effective options.

Lavender oil:

Lavender oil inspite of being oil possesses the ability of warding off pimples. Lavender oil boasts antifungal and antibacterial properties, which not only make it an extremely effective skin moisturizing agent, but also a useful remedy for the pimple causing bacteria. For using lavender oil as moisturizer, add 3 to 4 drops of the oil to 1 tablespoon jojoba oil and apply it onto your face in the same way as you apply regular moisturizers.

Grapeseed oil:

Grapeseed oil is another essential oil well-tolerated by pimple prone skin. Washing the face using with oil mix containing grapeseed oil can help you in both cleansing and moisturizing your pimple prone skin without the risk of getting the pimples aggravated. Add ½ tablespoon grapeseed oil with 1 tablespoon castor oil and apply the blend onto your face liberally. Rub the oil gently all over the face. Leave the oil on your skin for 10 minutes and then slowly wipe the oil using a damp washcloth.


Yogurt:

Yogurt contains Lactobacillus, which is a good bacterium; it fights with the harmful pimple causing bacteria while moisturizing your skin effectively. Moreover, yogurt also helps in lightening the pimple scars. Before applying yogurt onto your face, clean the face well using a mild soap. Then, apply plain, homemade yogurt on the face. Wait for 15 minutes and wash off the yogurt using cold water.

All the above remedies include procedures that will moisturize your skin from outside. It is equally important to stay hydrated from inside. For that you will have to drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water every day.
