The traditional treatment methods used for managing migraine headaches and other forms of vascular headaches usually involve use of extremely potent drugs. Having medications of such high strength leave the patients at high risk of suffering from harmful side effects; thus it is not advisable to use such medications for a prolonged period of time.

Migraine attacks can continue to bother the patient for several hours or even days if not treated properly. Most migraine headaches are unlikely to subside by intake of mild pain relief medications like aspirin or only by taking rest. People looking to get rid of the migraine headaches and other signs of the disorder without taking the harmful painkillers should try homeopathic medications. The most useful homeopathic remedies for migraine are as follows:

Aconitum Napellus: Aconitum Napellus are prescribed to patients experiencing acute and sudden migraine attacks. Such headaches either manifest in form of a band on the head of the patient or in form of bursting pains on his forehead. The other indicators of use of this homeopathic remedy for migraine include thirst and restlessness, which get worse during the night.

Belladonna: Migraine headaches that appear suddenly are treated successfully with belladonna. Such headaches are accompanied by a pounding or throbbing sensation in the head and a red, hot and flushed face or head. Some other symptoms that indicate that belladonna can be the right migraine remedy include: extreme sensitivity towards motion, noise, touch, smell and light; whenever the patient come in contact with any of these stimuli, he will feel intense pain in the head. Other indicators of use of belladonna are dilated pupils and fever accompanied by severe headaches.

Bryonia: Headaches marked by tearing pains on the head’s right side is an indicator of use of bryonia as a remedy for migraine. These headaches tend to get worse when the patient moves. The pain might aggravate even on moving the eyes or head slightly. Such migraine headaches are accompanied by other health problems like constipation.
