The most loving and caring person in our life is our child and we try tom protect him from any evil or harms. As our child is a part of ours, we all humans and creatures are part of the supreme nature. If we really think and try hard to make the life of our child, shouldn’t we keep the same approach for the nature and children of nature? Remember, we are alive as nature wants us to live. Even if we reach to any planet by the technological development, nature is a forever supreme power.

As the situation is turning on, the alarm of Global Warming are banging on our heads, are we really passing on a good heritage to our children? When the children will grow, won’t they ask us why didn’t e take care of nature? It is our undoubted duty to teach the children to love nature and trees from the very childhood. Here we are sharing some of the techniques which we feel are the supreme demand of time from us to our child.

  • Be a role model
The child is in the age where he will learn what he sees. Parents are the key role player in this phase of his life as they part most of his time. You will be the greatest role model your child will have. She will look up to you, learn from you, and embrace your habits. If you teach when you talk, you avoid many of the “why” questions that inevitably come when she sees you separating food scraps from glass from cardboard or turning the lights off when you leave a room. So, be alert and nature loving in order to educate your child silently. As in that phase, your lips won’t be able to teach him, but your behavior will sure.
  • Make a strong foundation
A tall building is alive because the foundation of the building must have been strong. The foundation laid is the prediction of life of the building. Same way, if the child is laid strong foundation of good human values and nature love, he is definitely going to grow taller. Teach him that pollution is the biggest enemy of human life. Instill fundamental human needs. In addition to love, he needs to know that clean air, clean water and clean soil are essential to human life. He can live without video games, but he cannot live without these precious commodities. Emphasize need of his active share to the nature.
  • Teach to take care of nature
Start a composting project or visit the aquarium to learn about the importance of the marine world to our lives. What happens when we take too many fish out of the sea or dump too much garbage into it? How does it affect the family? Teach him that the way we love our life all the creatures do and our unnecessary exploitation of nature may cost too high to us. So, take him to the gardens and parks, teach him to love plants.
  • Feed him by breastfeeding
Seriously consider breastfeeding. In a perfect world, no food is better for an infant than mother’s milk. It is the ultimate in nutritious, local food production. The most special character of mother’s milk is that it not feeds child but also pours him with lots of affection and care. The latest research shows that the children with mother’s milk are more sensitive than others. Touch therapy suggests that child gets the most of education by the touch of mother in the very earlier stages of life.
  • Go green
Your child will benefit from local fruits and vegetables at home. Take him to the local market or if possible, a farm to learn about fresh food. Encourage him to start a garden in the backyard or grow some herbs in a pot at home. He is less likely to develop food allergies or sensitivities if he is not eating processed, packaged or fast foods. Teach him that no food gives more energy and calories than the green foods.
  • Vegetarian makes smarter
Diet is critical for learning. Parents can pitch a green school lunch partnership plan that is both healthy and financially responsible. If schools and school boards know that healthy cafeteria options don’t inflate the budget, it is hard to argue against them. For example, a school garden is a great education tool and a source of nutritious food for students.
  • Travel green.
Don’t let your child develop an automobile addiction. Seek out destinations that you can reach together safely on foot or by bicycle. It is a great way to share time together and get fit. When the car cannot be avoided, try to combine errands or carpool with other families. Carpooling is a great, green way for parents to share the travel load. The more you take him to the natural places, more he’ll love the nature and then teach him that the more we are using automobile and energies, more we are destroying nature.
  • Seek out green products
When you buy him toys, clothes and bath products, take some time to find eco-friendly, safe options. There are a number of websites that provide information on both, including and Green products for babies and children are growing in popularity in traditional retail outlets as well.

Eco- parenting is simple parenting if you stick to the basics. Just add love.
