Conjunctivitis A Summer Ailment

With the augment of summer, conjunctivitis is a possible disease that could strike all. The infection rate of acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis is persistently on the rise and has the highest incidence rate. There are many ways you could make sure you take care f this. This kind of conjunctivitis is very contagious and has an incubation period of around 12 hours to many days. The main symptoms include a burning sensation and a gritty feeling in the eyes. There is lot of tearing and a discharge that you cannot avoid. There are other conditions like swollen eyelids, continuous discharge from the eyes and the symptoms are seen for 4 to 6 days.

Families travelling in summer are thus advised to react instantly by taking immediate help. They are advised to follow the instructions of the doctor and also protect themselves from other preventive measures like washing hands well and taking care of the eyes. Good hygiene is a part of curing conjunctivitis. Avoid rubbing your eyes vigorously as it increases the chances of the infection increasing.

The enterovirus epidemic is something that catches on very fast and so it is imperative that one takes great care of this problem. Children usually complain of itching, and feel feverish. It causes undue discomfort to your health.

Pink eye as it is called is caused due to many viruses and bacteria and is also caused due to irritants like dirt, shampoo, smoke and pool chlorine. There are lot of dust allergies like pollen, dust, and other kinds of air pollutants.
