A very usual occurrence in children is the tendency to pass bowels that are caused by contraction and relaxation of the intestinal muscles during the passage of food in the midst of a meal or after a meal. Once the child starts making a correlation between her inner sensations and the visual evidence of passage of faeces/urine means the child is ready for some adult assistance.
The child will make his sensation of full rectum/bladder evident with definite attention grabbing tactics like crying, shouting, diverting your attention to the diaper, certain movements or weird sounds.
