Reading Your Runes
Runes were initially employed over thousands of years ago during the Gothic era. It later made its presence felt in countries like England and Scandinavia. As Christianity started spreading its roots, the use of runic alphabets for the purpose of foretelling became condemned as a pagan custom. The word ‘rune’ derives its meaning from an ancient Anglo-Saxon word which means ‘secret’ or ‘mystery’, and they still remain ambiguous to one and all. Ruins were initially renowned in the Wiccan and pagan periods, but have benefited from unparalleled acceptance by majority of people in the last 30 to 40 years. Learning is a work-in-progress process in our lives. The supremacy of runes lies in the fact that it educates us with examples that can be drawn from our existing proceedings and present us with better power and understanding.
