Throughout my life I have heard numerous people speak of how proud they are of being able to be a part of such an awesome country. After hearing this type of statement I cannot help but wonder if these individuals simply make the statement and leave it at that. Or, do some of them take charge of their part in responsibility and also perform various different tasks that can offer a great deal of help in being able to benefit the particular part of earth that they are so proud of being a part of and living in. Unfortunately the evidence that is continuously being left behind proves to show that there are not nearly enough people who are taking responsibility and doing their part to help improve the already sad affects that have been done to the balance of our ecological system.

plastic_wasteThere are many of us who take enjoyment every single day from the tremendous advancements that have been made in the technology that is used in the making of numerous products. Generally many of them come safely and conveniently wrapped in fancy plastic packaging that ends up on the growing mounds of plastic materials that can be found in just about every landfill around the world. At the ever-increasing rate that plastics and other items of this nature are not being recycled, can you just imagine what the world is going to look like in 10 years, 20 years, or even 30 years? That is a scary thought, or at least it should be.

The only way we can slow down the process that is literally covering our world with trash and debris is to come together in agreement on this problem that will eventually have a detrimental impact on the earth. If every single individual, family, city, neighborhood, and state would join hands to implement a sound method for recycling plastics, this one item alone could make a dramatic change in the negative problems they are causing daily to the air we breathe and the l and we live on.
